/ On Sunday, the Japanese national football team achieved its first victory over its Vietnamese counterpart in Group D of the Asian Championship.
The first half ended with Japan leading 3-2. Japan’s goals came through Takumi Minamino in the 11th and 45th minutes and Kabuto Nakamura in the 45+4th minute, while Vietnam scored its two goals through Nguyen Dinh Bac in the 11th minute and Pham Tuan Hai in the 33rd minute.
In the second half, the Japanese scored their fourth goal in the 85th minute of the match through Ayase Ueda.
The second match in Group Two of the Asian Championship will start at 5:30 pm today, Sunday, at Khalifa International Stadium. The second match today brings together the UAE and Hong Kong national teams. In the third match in Group Two, the Palestinian and Iranian national teams will meet at Education City Stadium at 8:30 pm.
