Earlier in the day, it was reported that North Korea had fired at least one unidentified projectile towards the Sea of ​​Japan.

The Japanese Coast Guard believes it was a ballistic missile. It fell outside the exclusive economic zone in the Sea of ​​Japan.

The last time a launch from the DPRK towards the Sea of ​​Japan was reported on February 27.

Then the Kyodo publication, citing the Japanese government, reported that the unidentified projectile launched was presumably a ballistic missile. According to journalists, the rocket fell outside the Japanese exclusive economic zone. There are no reports of damage or casualties.

These actions were condemned by the United States. It was noted that Washington had initiated consultations on this issue with the Republic of Korea and Japan, as well as with other allies and partners in the region.
