“Jason Blaise confessed to the killing of Yelena Granberg, and he regrets the incident,” the police representative announced this morning (Sunday) at the hearing held at the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court, at the end of which the court extended the suspect’s detention for another eight days.
Blaise is suspected of the murder of Granberg, whose body was found in an open area in the streets. It was also brought up in the discussion that immediately after the murder, Blaise tried to end his life by swallowing Dexamol pills. He left a suicide note addressed to his mother, and she was the one who located him and took him to the hospital, where he was arrested by the police.
According to the representative of the public defender’s office, Blaise tried to end his life in the past. A gag order was imposed on the rest of the details, which is still pending. The court hearing took place in the absence of Blaise, who is hospitalized.
