Jason Momoa Transforms in First Trailer for Highly Anticipated ‘Minecraft Movie’

by time news

The Jason Momoa is unrecognizable in the trailer for the movie “A Minecraft Movie,” which was released just a few hours ago.

The trailer, set to the tune of “Magical Mystery Tour” by the Beatles, welcomes to the big screen the video game with the highest sales of all time.

The highly anticipated film “A Minecraft Movie” from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures was filmed in New Zealand under the direction of Jared Hess and edited by James Thomas.

“Whatever you can dream here, you can build,” says Jack Black at the start of the trailer.

According to the official description, the film follows four unlikely heroes, the “Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Meyers), and Dawn (Brooks), as they grapple with everyday problems when they suddenly get pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a strange, cubic land of wonders that thrives on imagination.

To return home, they must conquer this world (and protect it from the Piglins and Zombies as well), while also embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, special craftsman, Steve (Black).

Their adventure will challenge all five to be daring and reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative… the very skills needed in the real world as well.

This is a story written by Christopher Bowmann and Hamble Palmer, where creativity is not just fun, but also the key to survival.

Starring are Jason Momoa and Jack Black, along with Emma Meyers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Eugene Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge.

“A Minecraft Movie” is set to hit theaters on April 4, 2025, according to Deadline.
