Jason Roy’s century in vain – South Africa beat England in the first ODI

England are touring South Africa for a 3-match ODI series.

The first ODI between the two teams was played yesterday. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat.

Accordingly, South Africa, who batted first, scored 298 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Van der Dusen played well and scored 111 runs. David Miller scored a half-century and was dismissed for 53 runs.

England’s Sam Curran took 3 wickets.
