Bumrah said that after completing his studies, he planned to go to Canada and play cricket there. “It is every boy’s dream to play cricket and make it big. In every street in India there are 25 players who want to play for the country. So you have to have an alternative plan. So after graduation I decided to go to Canada. I have my family there. Then we decided to go as a family.
But at that time my mother became the headmistress of the school. So he didn’t want me to go to a country with a different culture like Canada. Luckily it worked for me. Otherwise I would have tried to play for Canada. However, that didn’t work out and now I am playing for India and Mumbai,” he said.
