“Where did this guy come from?” Many white-and-red fans wonder how Jastin, brazen as few, dared time and again to face and leave rivals behind. With nineteen years and barely a dozen matches in Tercera RFEF with the subsidiary, Jastin arrived in Girona in 2019 from Lleida and since then, until this summer, he has lived in the residence Hortes dels Marists. Jastin did most of his training at Football and Training Lleida (FIF) before 2018, the Lleida capture him by his planter. He arrived there at the age of eight and left at the age of fourteen. Now, at nineteen, he keeps in touch with the club officials and often visits the stays and the camps at Christmas or Easter and this season one of his brothers is starting to play there. “The first day he came for a test we saw that he had something different. It’s an innate thing. With the coaches of the club we have always said that he had things that the rest did not. A point that is not taught”, he explains Joan Francé, FIF manager who signed Jastin. Franqué goes further. “He has that street football, which we don’t know how to teach in schools. And that’s a gift.”
Sensations improve even more (2-3)
Sick of football, introverted and quiet off the field, Jastin grew up in FIF always playing with dwarfs a year older than him. From a very humble family, little Justin found the club Lleida gave him the push and support needed to burn stages until, after many attempts, Lleida took him and, after a year, Girona caught himr. “At FIF we understand that Football and Training cannot be understood without each other. Here we train players in the sports field and staff. This is our raison d’être, not just to win”, underlines Franqué. In this sense, the leader from Lleida remembers how difficult it is for a club player to reach the top. “If it hits, it hits. At the FIF, the whole squad plays a lot of minutes and then, without pressure, we’ll see where they end up,” he points out.
Jastin’s continuity in the first team will largely depend on the signings made by Girona. For now, he has already made it clear to Míchel that if he wants a winger, he has it at home.
