Doha: The official mascot of the World Judo Championship, hosted by Qatar, ‘Jaud’ has been unveiled.
The lucky charm was released by the Qatar Olympic Committee at the Team Qatar Village at Oxygen Park, Qatar Foundation, in conjunction with National Sports Day.
A lucky symbol called ‘jaud’ is shaped like a porcupine found in the desert. ‘Jaud’ dressed in judo clothes is also interesting to look at. ‘Jaud’ will be welcoming fans and sports lovers to the World Judo Championships from May 7 to 14 at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.
