However, he cannot leave without saying goodbye to everyone and everything.

It all started 9 years ago, when being part of the hooligans he had an accident, which left him in a wheelchair; however, that would be the least of his problems, because 5 years ago, in a family walk, contracted a fungus, the Candida auris or also known as geriatric fungus, which mainly attacks sick organisms, a healthy person hardly contracts it.

Seeing that it was not cured with treatment, he went to the doctor, who told him that the infection had already crossed his skin tissues and touched his veins, so after studies, it turned into leukemia, the same one that he mentions in his words, “There is no treatment that is worth it.”

He says that the doctor told him that they could amputate his legbut it was not at all certain that it would stop the spread of the disease, so he had to make a strong, sad and important decision regarding his quality of life.

“Today a hooligan, a fan, a father, a son, a great human being, a crazy person, leaves us. He leaves with all the desire to continue living (…) Those of you who can stay here, enjoy every minute with your family, enjoy every moment with your friends, with your pals,” was a message he left to his compatriots.

“It’s hard, but I also thank the saint of death for allowing me to die in this way (…) I’m leaving calmly (…) I’m going to tell you as a hooligan who decided to lead this lifestyle 22 years ago. I can tell all football fans to respect life,” added Javier Acosta.

Before leaving, he also took care of his dog. Katy who returned her to the shelter where she adopted her, and they were the ones who published a letter from the pet to the young Colombian.

The appointment for the application of Euthanasia will be tomorrow Friday, August 30th at 12 noonand although he says that “he is leaving with a desire to live,” he is grateful to be able to die and put an end to his suffering.
