We offer you a selection of concerts and festivals that take place in the first three weeks of October everywhere. Jazz, first, with the Rhino Jazz(s) Festival, traveling in the Loire and Rhône departments, Jazz sur son 31 in Toulouse, Jazz sur Seine, in Ile-de-France, the Tourcoing Jazz Festival , the Sunnyside Festival in Reims. For his 44e edition the Rhino Jazz(s) Festival announces around forty concerts organized in twenty-eight municipalities in the departments of the Loire and the Rhône. Started on 1is October, the festival presents, until October 23, a wide panorama of the states of jazz and its links with various musical currents. With cellist and singer Ana Carla Maza (Firminy, October 4); a program dedicated to Fire Bird by Stravinsky, revisited by saxophonist Lionel Martin and then played by a symphonic ensemble (Saint-Etienne, 4); the Old School Funky Family (Feurs, 8); the pianist Alfio Origlio and the singer Célia Kameni (Sorbiers, 12).

But also the singer Kaz Hawkins (Saint-Chamond, 14); saxophonist Raphaël Imbert (Lyon, 14); pianist and singer Julia Biel (Genilac, 16); the guitar, organ and drums trio Charlier-Sourisse-Winsberg (Villeurbanne, 18); the Belmondo Quintet (Caluire-et-Cuire, 18); Freshwater tiger led by saxophonist Laurent Bardainne (Saint-Etienne, 19th)… Also note an exhibition of photographs by Pierre Terrasson at the Galerie Ceysson & Bénétière, in Saint-Etienne. Nearly sixty concerts, including thirty with free access, in various places in Toulouse and around twenty towns in Haute-Garonne, are on the program for the 36e edition of the Jazz sur son 31 festival, scheduled from October 4 to 16. In Toulouse, most concerts take place at the Pavillon République, including those of singer Sly Johnson and the tribute to Dr. John by singer Hugh Coltman and guitarist Matthis Pascaud (October 6), trumpeter Takuya Kuroda (October 7) , the MOM trio (Louis Moutin on drums, Jowee Omicil on saxophone, François Moutin on double bass, 12), pianist Alain Jean-Marie in duo with double bassist Diego Imbert (13), singers Samara Joy and Estelle Perrault (14), guitarist Peter Bernstein (15).
