Thiruvananthapuram: This year’s JC Daniel Award presentation will be held on the 22nd of this month. The CM will present the awards at a ceremony at the University Senate Hall at 6 p.m. Leading playback singer P. Jayachandran will receive the award. Minister Saji Cherian will preside over the function while Minister Antony Raju will deliver the inaugural address. Mayor Arya Rajendran will design the International Film Festival. The function will be preceded by a function at 5.30 pm. Dr. Joby Mathew Vempala will play Jayachandran’s songs on violin. After the award presentation, a musical program titled ‘Bhavagana Sagaram’ will be performed with songs by Jayachandran. Vidhu Pratap, Kallara Gopan, Ravi Shankar, Akhila Anand and Reshma Raghavendra will sing the songs.
