At 40, the Breton rocker returned to the road and recorded five Christmas songs. After having suffered humanly and financially from betrayals by showbiz sharks, he still sings Johnny Hallyday’s hits but half of his repertoire is now personal.
Five years ago, Jean-Baptiste Guégan’s main challenge after winning the telecrochet “An incredible talent» on M6 was to last. The pressure was enormous for this exhausted thirty-year-old, with such a difficult personal life, who until then had earned his living by covering the hits of his idol L’Œil de l’INA: the time when Johnny Hallyday began to light the fire Sosie vocal of the rocker, he crisscrossed his native Brittany giving concerts in the campsites of Perros-Guirec as well as at the mussel festival in Hillion. “We took 500 euros per evening and we shared 50-50,” remembers his friend Yves Jacq from his boat anchored in Pornic near Saint-Nazaire.
