The French Prime Minister Jean Castex tested positive at Covid-19. This was announced by a government source to the AFP agency. The prime minister’s agenda “will be adapted in the next few days so that it can continue its activities while remaining in isolation ”, says the same source. Castex was on in isolation since Monday afternoon, when – returning from a trip to Belgium where he had met his counterpart Alexander De Croo – he had learned that one of his daughters, of 11 years, it was positive.
Vaccinated with a double dose, Castex, 56, had never been found positive before. Instead (in December 2020) the president of the French Republic had been Emmanuel Macron, as well as the Minister of Economy Bruno the Mayor and that of Culture Roselyne Bachelot. Last June Castex’s wife contracted the virus and developed symptoms of the disease, but he tested negative at the time.
