The Jeddah Municipality continued its efforts to improve the urban landscape and remove all manifestations of visual distortion, for the city by removing about 259,868 cubic meters of waste and cleaning more than 230,327 linear kilometers of streets, in continuation of the cleaning work to improve the quality of life, which is one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Saleh Al-Zahrani, General Director of Cleaning Projects at the Municipality, stated that the Municipality’s efforts during the month of March included clearing 76,707 linear meters of main streets, cleaning 211,978 linear km of secondary streets, and 1,040,000 square km of pedestrian roads, in addition to washing 819 linear km of streets and sidewalks, and raising 64,703 cubic meters of large-scale waste, in addition to the removal of 106 violating concrete barriers and 5,638 billboards, as part of a series of measures represented in manual sweeping teams, doubling the pick-up labor, increasing working hours for automated sweepers, as well as intensifying pick-up work at the sites. open.

Al-Zahrani added that the cleaning work aimed at cleaning streets, gardens, pedestrian roads, public squares, bridges and tunnels in all the main axes of the city. birds, erasing graffiti, and disposing of them, in addition to carrying out washing and disinfection works for 58,978 containers, and maintenance and replacement of 3,193 containers.
