Launched in August 2021, the Jeep Commander reaches 40,000 units produced at the Stellantis Automotive Hub in Pernambuco. The large, seven-seat model is the leader of the so-called “D” segment and will be featured in “Galo da Madrugada”, a traditional carnival block in Pernambuco.

To celebrate the production and sales levels, a Commander unit was themed by artist Pedro Melo, with his characteristic style of strong outline done with markers or brushes. Commander received a mixture of typical carnival colors in art and important representations of Pernambuco culture and will be exposed to the public during the event.

The Jeep Commander is offered in Limited and Overland versions available with flex-fuel and diesel engines. The first uses a 1.3 liter turboflex T270 engine with 180/185hp and 27kgfm of torque, always with a six-speed automatic transmission. The diesel is the well-known Multijet with 170hp and 38.7 kgfm always with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 with reduced traction.
