Following the sales success, Jeep expands the Avenger range by introducing the new Avenger e-Hybrid version, powered by its innovative MHEV engine technology, in addition to fully electric and internal combustion engine versions. The possibility of placing orders will be available from the end of November 2023. The key to the performance of this new engine is its power: 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder combustion engine, capable of delivering up to 100 HP, the 48-volt lithium-ion battery and the innovative 6-speed dual-clutch electric gearbox. This gearbox houses a 21 kW electric motor, an inverter and the central transmission unit, which work together to optimize compact size and efficiency.

The additional electric power improves low-rev torque and ensures a quiet and responsive start-up for the driver, with quick and smooth transitions. Pure electric power is also useful for the e-creeping function, which allows a series of short forward movements without throttle input, which is beneficial in situations such as traffic jams (e-queueing). The vehicle can also be parked in 100% electric mode (e-parking). Furthermore, this technology allows the energy recovery during deceleration and guarantees the freedom of automatic recharging through regenerative braking, eliminating the need for plug-in recharging.

Under typical driving circumstances, the engine is designed for optimal fuel efficiency, achieving up to a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to a combustion engine with automatic transmission. This is further achieved through the Miller Cycle, resulting in estimated CO2 emissions ranging between 111 and 114 grams per kilometer, which positions it favorably within its category.

The extraordinary new Avenger e-Hybrid is distinguished by an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 11 seconds, together with practically instantaneous torque delivery from the electric motor. This configuration optimizes the performance of the combustion engine, especially during restarts, mitigating the turbo lag effect and ensuring a quick response when the accelerator pedal is depressed, thus offering an exceptional driving experience. Similarly, in pure electric mode at start-up, the combustion engine is only activated when additional power is needed.

Furthermore, the Avenger e-Hybrid includes the fascinating Open-Air Sky Roof, which offers open-air fun and pleasure for both drivers and passengers, and definitely enhances driving pleasure. Further innovative comfort improvements are offered with the introduction of the electric driver’s seat with massage function and leather material. Elevating the driving experience to unprecedented levels, these innovative seats offer optimal support and relaxation during every ride.

The new model introduces several notable improvements both externally and internally. Externally, it features a distinctive, dedicated badge. Inside the cabin, drivers can choose between a 7-inch e-Hybrid instrument panel with MHEV information such as driving mode, engine status information and power meter readings, or they can opt for the e -Hybrid 10.25 inches. In addition, the vehicle comes equipped with shift paddles on the steering wheel and a state-of-the-art 6-speed DCT transmission in manual mode to take control of gear selection.
