Mystery thriller ‘Twelfth Man’ directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal is all set to release tomorrow. Director Jeethu Joseph says that the film scripted by KR Krishnakumar is not just a thriller but a mystery film. When screenwriter Krishnakumar told the story, Jeethu Joseph said, “I thought it would be a film that Lalettan has not done in recent times and it is not a film like ‘Drishyam’ but ‘Twelfth Man’.
The story of the film is very difficult to tell and execute. You have to read the script either. Or watch a movie. Because this is not a hero base movie. The 12 characters in the film are the main characters. Jeethu Joseph added that the film tells the story in a similar way to the Agatha Christie stories with a highlight of suspense.
The scene order of the film was first told to Laletta. Lalettan liked the idea. The story of this was hard to tell and execute. Either read the script! Or watch a movie. Because there is a huge star cast. There are actually 12 main characters in this movie.
I would not call ‘Twelfth Man’ a thriller. This is a mystery movie. A film similar to the Agatha Christie stories. Suspense is a highlight. So the script was given to a lot of people to comment on and changes were made. The result can be seen in the movie. Such a pattern has not come up in Malayalam in recent times. The ‘scene’ team has come up with this too. The film was shot in 25 days. This is a movie with good memories after all.
