In a surprising turn of events, an old product review by Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos has resurfaced on the internet, capturing the attention of SpaceX and Tesla Chief Elon Musk. The review, which dates back to 2006, showcases Bezos’ humorous side.
During the years 2000-2006, Bezos took the time to review several products on the e-commerce giant’s website. Within that span of time, the tech billionaire shared his thoughts on a total of six products. However, it was his review of Tuscan Dairy Whole Vitamin D Milk that left people laughing.
Bezos wrote, “I love milk so much that I’ve been drinking it since the day I was born. I don’t think it was Tuscan though.” This witty remark caught the internet’s attention when a user named Trung Phan shared a screengrab of the review on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter).
Phan’s caption highlighted Bezos’ amusing review, stating, “Jeff Bezos has 9 product reviews on Amazon…including this gem on a jug of Tuscan milk.” Musk couldn’t resist responding to the hilarity, as he reacted with a laughing face emoji.
The resurfaced review quickly gained traction on social media, eliciting various reactions. One user joked, “Legend. Oatly would pay him a lot of money to switch over lol.” Others were surprised to learn that milk could be purchased on Amazon in 2006, with one user commenting, “You could buy milk on Amazon in 2006?”
Some commentators praised Bezos for still keeping his milk review up, despite abandoning the practice of leaving product reviews. “I actually kind of respect that he just decided to abandon doing reviews but still left his milk one up. Keep looking forward, never look back,” said one individual.
