The storm wreaked havoc on Jelgava’s infrastructure, causing significant damage to street lighting, road signs, and signposts. Washouts and flooding‍ were reported across numerous⁢ streets, including ‍Stacijas, Posta, Jāņas, Rūpniiekas, Veidenbaums, Rogu, Dobeles, Garozas, Jānis Čakste boulevard, and the Lithuanian highway overpass.

Tree Damage and Drainage Issues

Over 400 trees succumbed to the storm‌ and subsequent⁣ flooding. ‌Emergency measures were undertaken to pump rainwater from streets, gutters, and private properties, utilizing additional‌ heavy-duty pumps and equipment.
