At a concert in Midland, Michigan, the rapper Jelly Roll paused the music for a heartwarming reason: to help a cancer survivor get a better seat.
During the show, Jelly Roll noticed a young woman in the audience receiving intravenous therapy. He approached her and offered his assistance.
“I’ve seen a lot of crazy stuff at my shows, but this young lady is here with a full IV,” he told the fan, who revealed that she was a cancer survivor.
Jelly Roll arranged for a member of his team to take the fan to a more comfortable location so she could enjoy the rest of the show.
The video of the incident went viral on TikTok, where many viewers praised Jelly Roll for his compassionate gesture.
“As a cancer survivor, I love this!” wrote one fan. “It must have been very weak, but it’s there.”
Many viewers also expressed their admiration for Jelly Roll’s previous acts of kindness, citing an instance where he fulfilled the wish of a terminally ill patient.
After the video went viral, Jelly Roll and his wife arranged a meeting with the cancer survivor in her hometown of Nashville. He performed a private show for her and her friends at a local church.
“I’m glad I was able to visit you,” Jelly Roll said during the event.
