Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held a financial symposium. Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province held a ‘Joint Symposium of the Korea Securities Association and the Korea Financial Management Association’ in cooperation with the ‘1st NPS Forum’ hosted by the National Pension Service.
This symposium, held under the theme of “Innovative Regional Finance Strategies and Activation Plans,” brought together some 80 financial experts and academic researchers to exchange diverse opinions on the development of the National Pension Service and the Jeonbuk financial industry, providing a rich forum for discussion.
On this day, ▲Professor Cho Eun-young of Chungnam National University began with a presentation on ‘Diversification and Risk Management of the National Pension Fund through Alternative Investments,’ followed by ▲Professor Shin Eun-jung of Baekseok University on ‘Cases of Mutual Finance and Implications for Regional Economic Revitalization,’ and ▲Professor Jeong Hee-jun of Jeonju University on ‘Development Plans for Jeonbuk’s Fintech Industry through Fostering Comparative Advantage Digital Asset Businesses.’
In the discussion that followed, Professor Jang Gook-hyun of Konkuk University served as the moderator, and experts in the pension and finance sectors, including Park Min-jeong, Director of the National Pension Finance Division of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Lee Hoon, Director of the Jeonbuk Branch of the Financial Supervisory Service, and Shin Mi-ae, Director of the Finance and Social Economy Division of the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, participated to hold an in-depth discussion on strategies to revitalize regional finance.
It is expected that the discussions held on this day will be of great help in establishing a specialized financial model for Jeollabuk-do to help the province leap forward as a global financial city centered on the National Pension Service Fund Management Headquarters.
