The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, winners of Britain’s Got Talent, will embark on a 18-venue UK tour from March to April 2027, including stops at the London Palladium, following their emotional victory and advocacy for rural mental health.
The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, a 40-member group formed by Jeremy Clarkson to promote his Hawkstone Lager, has transitioned from barnyard performances to national stage tours after winning Britain’s Got Talent (BGT). The choir’s 2027 UK tour, announced by Yorkshire Post, will span 18 venues, including the London Palladium, with dates in March and April 2027. Members, many of whom balance farming duties with rehearsals, expressed excitement about the journey while acknowledging the challenges of juggling rural life with their newfound fame.
A Journey From Farm Fields to National Stages
The choir’s rise began as a promotional stunt for Clarkson’s beer, but it evolved into a movement highlighting mental health in farming communities. After securing a Golden Buzzer from BGT judge Amanda Holden, the group captivated audiences with a heartfelt performance of Elbow’s One Day Like This, which became a defining moment in their story. Their victory earned them a prize, which they pledged to five charities supporting rural mental health and farming initiatives.
Speaking to Farmers Guardian, Ted Howard-Jones, a Chilterns-based farmer and choir spokesperson, emphasized the group’s commitment to continuing their mission. The most important thing is the journey of the choir continues which is just marvellous,
he said. Choir member Katryna Shell, a Northumberland farmer, described the post-BGT period as a “whirlwind,” noting the lot of travelling. A lot of rehearsing. I cannot really believe it.
Tour Dates, Album, and Advocacy
The tour, detailed by Yorkshire Post, will feature original music from their debut album This Is Home, set for release on November 6, 2026. The 12-track project includes songs like Life With You and One Day Like This, which the choir performed at the National Television Awards. The group also recorded a jingle for WildFarmed’s new lager, collaborating with farmer and DJ Andy Cato.
The choir’s schedule includes appearances at the Royal Variety Performance, the British Farming Awards, and a special Harvest Festival at Clarkson’s Farmers’ Dog pub. They will also perform at York and Sheffield venues, with tickets available through SJM Concerts. Despite their rapid ascent, members remain grounded, with Howard-Jones acknowledging the tension between farm responsibilities and touring. We are all very excited and I am sure if someone needs to get back to the farm we will manage,
he said.
