Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn blindsided by John Stamos’ memoir revelations

by time news

Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn were caught off guard when John Stamos wrote about them in his new memoir. The couple had no prior warning that they would be mentioned in the Full House star’s book, titled If You Would Have Told Me.

During an appearance on Access Hollywood, O’Connell revealed that he and his wife only found out about the book after it was already released. “We don’t get any warning,” he said, adding, “We find out just like anyone else.”

When asked about Romijn’s reaction to Stamos’ comments about their divorce, O’Connell declined to comment, stating that he would rather have his wife address the matter. He did mention that he and Romijn have a good relationship today.

Romijn was previously married to Stamos from 1998 to 2005 before tying the knot with O’Connell. In his memoir, Stamos candidly discussed his “failed” first marriage with Romijn. During promotional interviews, he revealed feeling shattered after the end of their seven-year marriage and admitted to hating her during their divorce.

Stamos also opened up about relying on alcohol as a coping mechanism following their split, eventually seeking help through Alcoholics Anonymous to work through his resentments. He shared that he kept a special gift given to him by Romijn during their relationship.

The memoir also delves into other personal aspects of Stamos’ life, including his alcoholism and rehab journey, the death of his Full House co-star Bob Saget, and his experiences with sexual assault and multiple rhinoplasties during his career.

Stamos’ bombshell memoir hit shelves on October 24, and it seems O’Connell and Romijn were just as surprised as others to find themselves included in the book without prior notice.
