Following a report at the MDA hotline, a team arrived at an apartment in Jerusalem, where an 87-year-old woman, unconscious, was found with signs of hypothermia.
MDA paramedic Rachel Konan said: “When we arrived at the apartment, we joined the fire brigade and the police who broke into the apartment and found the woman lying in a vague consciousness on the cold floor. We were told that she talks to an acquaintance every day to make sure she is okay and today she did not contact us and they took care of her. We provided her with medical care that included heating, fluids and providing breathing assistance. We wrapped her in a special blanket that keeps her body warm and evacuated her to the hospital when he was breathing. “
