Jerusalem Business Shut Down After Employees Allegedly Sing About Massacre

The Jerusalem Police District has issued a closure order to a business near Jerusalem following an incident where two employees allegedly sang about a recent massacre in front of customers. The incident occurred during the operation of the business last Thursday evening, and the suspects are said to have glorified the massacre that took place at the “Nova” nature party near Kibbutz Reim.

In a swift operation by the Jerusalem District Police, the two suspects, both residents of East Jerusalem in their 20s, were arrested at a gas station near Jerusalem on Friday night. They were then taken in for questioning at the Lev HaBira police station on suspicion of offenses relating to public peace and incitement of racism or hostility towards the public.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the officer of the Operations Division at Lev HaBira Station issued a closure order for the business for a period of seven days, effective until October 26th, 2023. This decision was made due to the violation of public peace with a nationalist motive and the failure of the owners to appear for a hearing on the matter.

The Jerusalem Police District stresses that it will continue to take decisive action against those who express support or sympathy for terrorist organizations and their actions. The closure order serves as a reminder of the authorities’ strong stance against hateful and divisive behavior that threatens public safety and peace.

The incident has sparked debate and discussions online, with many expressing their outrage and disbelief over the actions of the employees. Public opinion is largely supportive of the swift response by the police in apprehending the suspects and shutting down the business temporarily.

Citizens are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The continued cooperation between the public and the police is crucial in maintaining the safety and well-being of the community.
