  • M. Paraskevi: B’ PART 21:00
  • M. Saturday: PART III 21:00

The series was shown for the first time in Greece in the 1978-1979 television season by ERT.

Since the beginning of the 90s, it has been shown every Easter, achieving high ratings.

The series was first broadcast on the Italian channel RAI 1 on March 27, 1977. It had a budget of $180,000,000 and was filmed by RAI Radiotelevisione Italiana.

The grandest religious production in the history of television, “Jesus of Nazareth” is a massive and comprehensive work, written with mastery and simplicity by master creator Franco Zeffirelli.

The Italian composer performed the Passion of the Lord with reverence and religious commitment, representing the events with faith in the Scriptures and absolute respect for the sanctity of the subject.

The great Italian director used an excellent cast of actors, such as Sir Laurence Olivier, the expressive Av Bacroft, the beautiful Olivia Hussey, Anthony Cove, Michael York and, of course, Robert Powell in the role of Jesus.
