DPS co-chairman Jevdet Chakarov leads the party’s list for the European elections on June 9. He is followed by former MEPs Ilhan Kyuchyuk and Iskra Mihailova, who are also vice-presidents of the DPS, and former BSP MEP Elena Yoncheva is in fifth position. Atidze Veli will not fight for a new mandate in the EP. Fourth on the list will be the son of former agriculture minister Nihat Kabil – Taner. He was also the temporary leader of the Youth DPS from November until the election of the new co-presidents Tanzer Yuseinov and Ibraim Zaidenov in February.
