This Friday, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), in collaboration with the National Civil Police (PNC), carried out raids in several jewelry stores associated with the Mao Mao gang.

Authorities carried out searches at the SaraĂ and Oliver jewelry stores, located in Soyapango. During the operation, jewelry with an estimated value of $150,000 dollars and $7,580 dollars in cash were confiscated.

Investigations revealed that these businesses were used to launder money obtained from criminal activities, including robberies, extortion and other crimes associated with the gang. In addition, it was found that none of the establishments kept accounting books or issued invoices for their commercial transactions.

The FGR and PNC continue to work to dismantle criminal networks and ensure that justice is done.
