Jewish joy in Nigeria: Consecration of house 770 and the placing of a Torah scroll

Nigeria has never seen such a joyful Jewish celebration: in celebration of the tenth anniversary of Beit Chabad in Nigeria led by the emissaries Rabbi Israel Ozan and his wife, a dedication ceremony was held yesterday for the wing of Beit Chabad modeled on front 770, with the participation of emissaries from the continent of Africa, led by the emissary Rabbi Shlomo ben Tulila.

The event was held together with the introduction of a Torah scroll to Rabbi Haim Kanievsky a.h., donated by the benefactor Rabbi Dov Ziskin from New York.

The festive event was attended by the representatives of the emissaries from the African continent who came to participate in the great joy, including the Rebbe’s emissaries in the Ivory Coast countries, emissaries from the United States and also from the city of Lagos in Nigeria.

The wing of the Chabad house that was inaugurated in front of 770, is called ‘Beit Pnina’, and the donors removed the lot during the exciting ceremony.

At the end of the procession, the circumambulation as usual and the introduction of the Torah book, the participants turned to a mitzvah meal.
