The Chief Minister made the announcement as a New Year gift to the people of Jharkhand. It has been announced that the price of fuel for motorcycle and scooter passengers will be reduced by Rs 25. The exemption will come into effect from January 26, 2022. The debate is now over whether other governments in the country can follow Soren’s example. Soren said the announcement would be a great relief to ordinary people in the state.
Today is the second anniversary of the Soren government. The state is ruled by an alliance of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Hemant Soren’s party, and the Congress and RJD.
