Ranchi: Indian numbers are being taken abroad and used for cyber fraud from there. Now the data of those numbers is also being stored in the Pratibimb app by Jharkhand Police. So that the fraudsters sitting abroad can be tracked and arrested. Jharkhand DGP Anurag Gupta said that large scale work is being done against cyber fraud. It is being seen in countries like Dubai, Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong that Indian mobile numbers are being operated and cyber fraud is being done with the people of India. Preparations are being made to take action against this.
NIA had arrested many thugs
The National Investigation Agency had also identified 70 people in the case of cyber fraud. Those who had gone to Cambodia and Vietnam on visa from India. All of them were doing cyber fraud there. Two of these people said that they were forced to do fraud. Two such brokers were identified from Koderma and Dhanbad through Pratibimb app and were arrested.
There are three types of major fraud
DGP Anurag Gupta said that there are three major frauds. Which are of high value. These include online investment, online jobs and digital arrest. In these three cases of fraud, a person who knows the local language is needed to talk to the victim. If a foreign national is behind the fraud, then he cannot commit fraud on an Indian citizen for investment, online job or digital arrest. They need a local person. For this, they lure some people and call them to places like Vietnam, Cambodia and cheat people of the country by calling them from Indian numbers.
A call is made to Jhansi
Cyber criminals sitting in other countries call the people of India and tell them that by investing, your money will double, your goods have been seized and you will be arrested, do online job and you will get high salary. In all these frauds, it is very important to be a citizen of the country. The person who can talk in Hindi and local language can convince the other person.
Large scale work is being done
Now, with the help of Pratibimb app, if someone is calling from abroad and cheating people in India, then his location will also be known. Work is also being done on the distributors of SIM cards. Work is also being done on the matter of illegal withdrawal of money from ATMs. The police force of the entire country needs to take action in unison due to the cyber fraud that has spread on a wide scale. How does Pratibimb app work
There is a helpline number 1930 in the country. People from all over the country call on this number and report their crimes. Along with other details, they also give the mobile number from which the fraud call came. The system in the country till now is called Victim Centric Investigation. In which if fraud is committed by calling from one state to another, then to catch the cyber fraudsters, the police have to go from their state to another state. In this, cyber fraudsters have to be searched in another state and have to work hard. It also takes more time. Taking advantage of this, cyber fraudsters change their location and go away from the reach of the police. But after the arrival of Pratibimb App, a system of accused centric investigation has been made. In which cyber fraudsters do not have to go from one state to another to catch them. Rather, their home can be reached through Pratibimb. The base of the fraudster’s mobile data can be seen. Action against fraudsters has now become fast through Pratibimb. Now the cases of fraud are being shifted to Accused Central Investigation. Due to which the investigation has become fast. The fraudsters are being caught immediately.
More than 1000 cyber thugs arrested
Since the launch of Pratibimb app, more than 1000 cyber criminals have been arrested. The maximum number of criminals, 500, have been arrested from Deoghar district alone. While 350 FIRs have been registered so far, 3000 SIM cards have been seized. Large scale action is being taken against cyber criminals.

Recently, the entire country has benefited from the action taken against cyber criminals due to the Pratibimb app. In such a situation, the state’s DGP Anurag Gupta and the developer of the app have also been honored by the Union Home Minister in Delhi.
