BTS member Jimin has made his presence felt in the British music market.
According to the UK Official Charts released on the 26th (local time), Jimin’s second solo album ‘Muse’s title song ‘Who’ entered the Official Singles Chart at number 4. This is Jimin’s sixth solo song to enter the chart and his highest ranking.
‘Who’ swept the top spots on detailed charts such as ‘Single Sales’, ‘Single Downloads’, and ‘Physical Single Sales’. ‘MUSE’ ranked 56th on the Official Album Chart. This is Jimin’s first time on this chart with a solo album. ‘MUSE’ ranked high on many charts such as ‘Album Downloads’ (3rd) and ‘Album Sales’ (14th).
In addition, ‘Who’ ranked first on the latest ‘Weekly Top Song Global’ (compiled from July 19 to 25) announced by music streaming platform Spotify on the 26th. The song also maintained the first place for three consecutive days (from the 23rd to the 25th) on the ‘Daily Top Song Global’ on the 25th.
‘Muse’ ranked 3rd on the ‘Weekly Top Albums Global’. The album ranked 1st on the ‘Weekly Top Albums’ in 8 countries/regions including Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, and settled in the top 10 of the ‘Weekly Top Albums’ in a total of 19 countries/regions.
Meanwhile, ‘Muse’, released on the 19th, is an album that contains a journey to find inspiration surrounding ‘me’. Jimin participated in writing lyrics and composing 6 out of 7 songs, and honestly expressed the stories he wanted to tell. The title song ‘Who’ is a hip-hop R&B genre song that sings of the heartbreaking situation and confusing emotions of missing someone you’ve never met.
