Many steps have been taken by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI, but no concrete solution has been found yet. In such a situation, we are going to tell you about the option of “To Not Disturb”, which can help you get rid of all kinds of promotional messages, which Airtel, Jio and Vi users should pay attention to.
Follow these steps
1. Open your phone’s default messaging app.
2. After this create a new message and type FULLY BLOCK in capital letters.
3. After this send it to toll-free number 1909.
If you want to block different categories of messages, you will have to enter separate codes for this.
-FULLY BLOCK: This is a way to block all types of messages and calls.
– BLOCK 1 – Banking, Finance, Credit Cards
– BLOCK 2 – Real Estate
– BLOCK 3 – Education Related Spam
– BLOCK 4 – HEALTH
– BLOCK 5 – Consumer Goods, Automobile, Entertainment, IT
– BLOCK 6 – COMMUNICATION, BROADCASTING
– BLOCK 7 – TOURISM
– BLOCK 8 – FOOD
You have to send this code to 1909. If you want, you can activate DND with the help of your service provider.
Jio users
1. Open MyJio app.
2. Tap Menu.
3. Then tap on Profile and other settings.
4. Click on Do Not Disturb button.
5. After this tap on ‘Set Preference’. After this click on the submit button.
airtel users
1. Open Airtel Thanks app.
2. Tap on ‘More’ option
3. Then select Manage Services.
4. Tap on Activate and Deactivate DND.
5. After this select the spam category and then submit.
Vi users
1. Open Vi app.
2. Tap on My Account.
3. After this tap on ‘More Services’.
4. Then select ‘Do Not Disturb (DND)
5. Then select Preferences and Activate.
