Actor Jo Jin-woong shared his thoughts on the final episode of ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’.
On the 22nd, the agency Saram Entertainment revealed Jo Jin-woong’s thoughts on wrapping up the new Disney+ and U+ Mobile TV series ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’ (written by Lee Soo-jin/directed by Choi Kook-hee and Lee Hu-bin, hereinafter referred to as ‘No Way Out’).
In ‘No Way Out’, which aired its final episode on the 21st, Jo Jin-woong plays the role of detective Baek Joong-sik, who must protect Kim Gook-ho (played by Yoo Jae-myung), a notorious serial killer with a reward of 20 billion won. He perfectly portrayed the character’s suffocating situation on the edge of a cliff with his acting skills.
Jo Jin-woong said, “Filming ended a while ago, but now that all the episodes up to the last one have been released, it feels like it’s really over, so I feel bittersweet,” and added, “I’m happy that I was able to work together with such great staff members who I feel like I have a lot in common with and create such a great production.” He added, “Thank you to everyone who watched it.”
Jo Jin-woong said, “If there’s anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, it’s much more fun to watch it all at once, so please binge-watch it on Disney+ and U+ Mobile TV,” and added, “Thank you for loving ‘No Way Out: The Roulette’ so far.”
In the released episodes 7 and 8, Baek Joong-sik went berserk after learning that his daughter So-mi (played by Choi Myung-bin) was kidnapped by Yoon Chang-jae (played by Lee Kwang-soo), and continued his bold actions by absconding Kim Guk-ho, who was under police protection. However, he fell for Yoon Chang-jae’s trick and was unable to find his daughter So-mi, and he let go of Yoon Chang-jae and cried, which was heartbreaking.
In particular, Jo Jin-woong’s desperate acting as Baek Joong-sik in this situation increased the immersion. His desperate emotional acting, which he poured out without thinking about the consequences due to his concern for his daughter So-mi, created tension and overwhelmed the viewers. In particular, Jo Jin-woong’s acting that controlled the tempo, which densely expressed the character’s emotions that changed depending on the situation from episode 1 to episode 8, not only increased the immersion in the drama, but also the perfection.
