He surprised the panelists and viewers by sharing his honest thoughts through season 3 of MBN’s real variety show ‘Let’s Go GO’, which aired on the 30th of last month.
On this day, Jo Young-nam talked about the will. He said, ”I wrote in my will, ‘Do not hold a funeral,'” and explained the reason, “I am not a great person enough to hold a funeral, I am embarrassed, and I don’t like people bowing to me at funerals.”
He continued, “When I die, the person next to me wrote a will requesting that I be cremated in a blanket and scatter my ashes over Yeongdong Bridge. However, since it is illegal to scatter ashes on Yeongdong Bridge, I am going to write (secretly) in parentheses.” he also showed off his sense of humor.
Regarding the division of property in the will, he said, “at first, I wrote to give half of my property to the woman next to me, but I revised it. As I have three children, I wrote three-quarters to my children and one-fourth to the woman next to me.”
On this day, Jo Young-nam also spoke frankly about his ‘girlfriend’. In response to Hong Hyun-hee’s question about what the most fun thing is these days, Jo Young-nam answered, “Meeting my girlfriend, going shopping, and watching movies together.”
Jo Young-nam then shocked the MCs by making a bombshell statement that he had several girlfriends. Jo Young-nam explained that each girlfriend has a ranking, and said, “The first-ranking girlfriend was number one for 10 years, but she was stripped of her ranking when she married her husband.” Hong Hyun-hee said,“I guess this is (Cho Young-nam)’s secret to staying young,” making people laugh.
Jo Young-nam also said that he regretted it, mentioning the two sons he had with Yoon yeo-jeong. Cho Young-nam said that the biggest regret in his life was, ”Why didn’t I think of my children when I left home?” When Hong Hyun-hee asked whether he had ever had contact with his two sons since then, Cho Young-nam answered yes and expressed his regret. Cho young-nam said that he has no bucket list left, and that the only thing he has is to call his ex-wife, Yoon Yeo-jeong.
Meanwhile, Jo Young-nam married Yoon Yeo-jeong in 1974 and had two sons, but divorced in 1987. He later remarried in 1995 to a woman 18 years younger than him, but divorced again. He currently has two sons and one daughter.
