Joan Nyhus is survived by her husband of 30 years, Paul Nyhus, whom she celebrated a milestone anniversary with this past August, and her three daughters, Greta, Sara, and Erin Nyhus. She is also remembered by her brothers, Steve and Mike Frojen, and sisters, Maureen Schmidt and Loraine Frojen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Doris Frojen, and her brother, Rick Frojen.
Her family and friends remember her for her vibrant personality, warmth, and unwavering sense of humor. “Joan’s legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her,” a family member stated.
Services and Celebration of Life
A service to honor Joan Nyhus’s life will be held at Cross Lutheran Church in Roberts, Wisconsin, on January 17th at 11:00 AM, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow the service.
A further celebration of life will be held at the Olderness family farm in Oakes, North Dakota, on Saturday, June 13th, honoring her North Dakota roots.
