João Cancelo is getting closer to the Saudis of Al Hilal, a club coached by Jorge Jesus, and should arrive in Riyadh later this week.
Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specialized in the transfer market, reports that Al Hilal has already submitted a proposal for the Manchester City full-back, who is Jorge Jesus’ first choice for the right side of defense.
If confirmed, Cancelo will play alongside Rúben Neves, who also plays for the Saudis, who have players like Neymar, Mitrovic, Malcom, and Koulibaly in their ranks.
International sports media reveals that the Benfica-trained player will earn an annual salary of around 20 million euros.
In the last season, the Portuguese international played on loan at Barcelona from the ‘citizens’, the club he joined in 2019 from Juventus.
