On August 29, the CGT published a study that ruffled the feathers of France Travail, confirming that 55% of the ads on its site do not represent a legal question. Enough to make citizens cringe, which screams confusion.

In 2019, France Travail published its own study on the subject, admitting that 7% of its 5,000 jobs showed signs of inequality. The CGT Precarious Unemployment calculates differently, raising the score to 55%.

Video witness in support of their account X, CGT showed that the proposed offers may in fact be fake. By acting as candidates, from August 26 to 28, the members of the union showed that the telephone exchanges always ended with a disappointing reception: the deadlines announced for receiving the office presented a catch. According to them, around 20% of the ads that are considered illegal have this type of irregularity.

On this point, France Travail responds that there is bias in the process used. While the public body studied all its offers, the CGT for its part only considered 1,844 ads from a dozen towns outside ĂŽle-de-France. Also, it focuses only on specific sectors, namely health, personal services and industry.

According to information from MondeWe also performed a lexical analysis in order to identify 80% of the remaining illegal provisions. Linguistic subtleties will spread to mislead potential candidates.

“For example, the mention of “CDD which can lead to a permanent contract” can be misleading. This also means that the employer meets the permanent need for work by using a temporary contract that is reserved by law for occasional needs. It is therefore an illegal provision,” said Pierre Garnodier, secretary general of the National Council of Unemployed and Unemployed Workers (CNTPEP-CGT).

More or less participatory ads allow employers to build sources of candidates with the aim of bringing out the CV when necessary, especially during peaks in the company’s career. Also, giving the contract dates longer than they actually are will help attract more applications for offers. Enough to put candidates off the fence once it’s time to talk with recruiters.

While the CGT accused France Travail of ignoring its results, the general group considered that procedural errors were made. The deputy director general of France Travail, Paul Bazin, also presented the guidelines given by the institution to encourage companies to be more transparent. According to him, it is “in their interest both in recruiting and in their image as an employer”.
