The Police Region North, which includes Sweden’s four northernmost counties, is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume the role of Group Manager for the Support/Service Group in the Southern Lapland area. The Police Region North, with over 2,000 employees, consists of four police areas: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, and Jämtland. The region also includes four regional units responsible for the region’s operational, investigation, intelligence, and administrative functions. The chosen candidate will align with the Southern Lapland local police area, which encompasses the municipalities of Vilhelmina, Storuman, Åsele, Dorotea, Sorsele, and Lycksele.
As the head of the Support/Service group, the selected candidate will report to the local police area manager and become a crucial part of the Southern Lapland local police area’s management group. They will be jointly responsible for executing assignments, driving organizational changes, and fostering development within the authority. The main focus will be on managing the group’s support and service operations and ensuring their effectiveness. Additionally, the group manager will represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally, actively working to strengthen trust in police operations.
Leadership and management skills are critical for success in this role.
