Police Region Stockholm is Hiring Group Managers for Camera Surveillance and Analysis

The Police Region Stockholm in Sweden has announced job openings for group managers in camera surveillance and analysis. The region is part of the Police Authority, Sweden’s largest authority with approximately 35,000 employees. The authority is currently undergoing extensive growth to meet the challenges of the future.

The camera surveillance section, which is one of 12 sections at the Regional Investigation Unit (RUE) in the Stockholm Police Region, is expanding. The section handles all questions related to the region’s camera surveillance. They are currently looking for five group managers to oversee the different groups within the section.

The responsibilities of the group managers include maintaining 24/7 real-time surveillance at the camera surveillance center, providing support to ongoing cases, and leading the development of camera surveillance capabilities from the air. The group managers will also be responsible for image and film analysis before they are handed over to investigative operations.

Applicants for these positions should have at least 6 months of continuous experience in a supervisory or project management role. They should also have experience in change and development work and current field of activity, as well as experience working with social actors outside the police organization. A relevant degree or training in police studies or a related field is required.

In addition to qualifications, personal qualities and leadership skills will be highly valued. The Police Authority’s leadership criteria, which include abilities such as analysis, goals and results, development and change, social security, and communication, will be used to assess applicants.
