Job Opening: Polo Cone Trainer at National Operations Department in Stockholm

Stockholm, August 23, 2023 – The National Operations Department (Noa) in Stockholm is currently seeking a Polo Cone Trainer to join their operational support group at Noa Kansli. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside dedicated colleagues and contribute to increasing security and reducing crime in Sweden.

The National Operational Department is responsible for national and international communication and coordination, intelligence activities, investigation of prescribed crime types, and assisting the regions. As part of their mission, the department produces situational pictures regarding crime and incident developments both nationally and internationally. The National Operational Department is also the national point of contact for the Security Police, the Swedish Armed Forces, and the Norwegian Armed Forces Radio Institute.

The role of the Polo Cone Trainer includes conducting proficiency shooting, rearming Glocks, and introducing stun guns. This position also involves assisting with the administration of education results and providing specialist knowledge for the development of educational plans. Some travel may be required within the service.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have completed the police exam and must be a certified Polkon trainer. Good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish, as well as Swedish citizenship, are also required. Experience as a trainer/instructor in other areas and knowledge of reinforcement weapons like MP5 and Utter are advantageous.

Personal characteristics that are desired for this role include being calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations, having a realistic perspective, and being flexible and adaptable to change. Additionally, candidates should have good pedagogical insight and the ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner.
