Job Description: Police Investigator

Are you ready for a bigger task? The Police Region North is currently seeking a police investigator to join their team in Norrbotten. This role provides an opportunity to develop alongside committed and friendly colleagues while contributing to increased safety and reduced crime in Sweden.

The Polisregion Nord is the largest region in terms of area and consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden. It is divided into four police areas and has four regional units. The investigation section in the Norrbotten police area focuses on serious crimes, particularly vulnerable crime victims, criminal finances, and reconnaissance. The section also handles qualified intelligence work and the use of covert means of coercion.

The main responsibilities of the role include conducting qualified investigations into crimes involving vulnerable crime victims, children, and sexual crimes. The investigator will gather information, compile evidence, conduct interviews, and prepare cases for the prosecutor. The investigator will work closely with other authorities, organizations, and investigators within and outside of their own work group.

To apply for this position, candidates must have a Swedish police degree in accordance with the Police Ordinance, good oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English, and a valid Swedish B driver’s license. It is advantageous for candidates to have experience working with vulnerable crime victims or working as an investigator within the police authority. Other relevant investigation experience is also considered.
