Jocelyne Wildensteina socialite known as “the cat woman” due to her numerous cosmetic surgery operations, died on Tuesday in Paris.
“His colleague Lloyd Klein is saddened to announce the death of Jocelyne Wildenstein in Paris at the age of 79.” An “icon is gone,” he added.
Wildenstein, who lived between New York and Paris, died of a pulmonary embolism in a mansion in the French capital, Klein explained.

The woman, with 1.1 million followers on Instagram, was known for her numerous aesthetic interventions on her face and the legends that surrounded her physical transformation.
Some claim that he wanted to look like a feline at all costs or that he spent millions of dollars to achieve it.
The last time Wildenstein posted a video of her and Klein was when the two posed for photographers outside the Ritz in Paris on December 23.

Wildenstein recently gave several television interviews in France in which he talked about his high-profile divorce and his operations.
“My (ex)husband thought it was very good publicity, to broadcast during the divorce,” she said recently on a local television program.
Born in Lausanne (Switzerland) on September 7, 1945, Jocelyne Perisset entered the world of New York high society when she married the art dealer Alec Wildenstein, whose surname she kept after her divorce in 1998, and with whom she had two children.
