The ban is explained by ensuring the protection of the national interests of Ukraine. The moratorium applies to the alienation, pledging and any other actions that may lead to the seizure of real estate, securities, corporate rights, vehicles, aircraft and ships, inland navigation vessels by persons associated with Russia.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the entry, stay and exit from the Russian Federation of foreign citizens from the territories of the self-proclaimed “LPR”, “DPR” and Ukraine, the Kremlin press service reports. According to the document, from March 5, foreign citizens and stateless persons can enter Russia from the territory of Ukraine and the self-proclaimed “people’s republics” of Donbass without issuing a visa using valid and expired identity cards. Persons who entered the Russian Federation under a simplified scheme have the right to stay in the country for up to 15 days, the decree says.
