Joe Biden has announced he will run for re-election in 2024

US President Joe Biden said on Friday he had decided to run for a second term and would announce his campaign “relatively soon”, Reuters reported.

Joe Biden assured on Friday evening as he left Ireland that he would “relatively soon” announce his decision on his official 2024 presidential bid.

“I’ve already made that calculation. We will announce it relatively soon. But this trip only strengthened my sense of optimism about what can be done,” the American president told reporters. (PAP)
