On June 24, 2022, the US Supreme Court overturned its Roe judgment vs Wade, which guaranteed, since 1973, the right to abortion to American women throughout the territory. A year to the day after US President Joe Biden promised on Saturday to fight against the “extreme and dangerous Republican agenda”.
Over the past year, the States have regained their freedom to legislate, and around twenty of them have decreed in the process a ban or significant restrictions on access to abortion.

The Democrat promised once again that his administration would continue to ” protect “ women’s health and “to call on Congress to restore” the constitutional right to abortion, which however has little chance of succeeding, given the division of the two chambers between Democrats and Republicans.

Several demonstrations and events are planned for Saturday across the United States, organized by both pro and anti-abortion protesters.
