Bengaluru: In the first Test against India-A (4-day match), New Zealand-A scored 400 runs in the first innings and were all out. In the match which started yesterday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, the New Zealand team won the toss and batted at the end of the first day and scored 156 runs for the loss of 5 wickets (61 overs). Joe Carter scored 73 and Shaun Solia started the 2nd day yesterday with 1 run. Solia 32, Michael Rippon 21, Logan van Beek 19 runs returned to the pavilion.
Despite the wicket falling at one end, a determined Carter scored 197 (305 balls, 26 fours, 3 sixes) before being caught by wicketkeeper Srikar Bharath off Kuldeep Yadav.
