Gérard Larcher no longer wants Joël Guerriau in the Senate until justice takes action. The presidency of the Senate sent a press release to indicate that it had sent a letter to the elected representative of Loire-Atlantique. The president of the upper house of the French Parliament invites Joël Guerriau to “resign from his functions as secretary of the Senate Bureau and vice-president of the committee on foreign affairs, defense and armed forces, as well as to withdrawing from all his activities linked to his mandate as senator.
Suspended by his parliamentary group and by the Horizons party, the senator was indicted and placed under judicial supervision for administering “to a person, without his knowledge, [d’] a substance likely to impair one’s judgment or control of one’s actions, in order to commit rape or sexual assault” and possession and use of substances classified as narcotics. He is suspected of having drugged MP Sandrine Josso without her knowledge in order to abuse her.
