Johnson & Johnson recalls sunscreen sprays due to benzene found in them

by time news

Johnson & Johnson said it is recalling five brands of sunscreen after testing it found benzene in samples. We are talking about five sunscreen aerosols brands Neutrogena and Aveeno.

The American manufacturer claims that the detected concentration of benzene “should not cause negative health effects.” However, as a precaution, and given that benzene should not be present in the company’s sunscreen aerosols at all, the manufacturer decided to withdraw all batches of the above products. Consumers are advised not to use these products and contact the company’s support service with the possibility of receiving a refund of the money spent.
