Actor Jojo George arrived in Vyttila to protest during the Congress’ National Highway blockade against fuel price hike. He got out of the vehicle questioning the roadblock. JoJo George was not wearing a mask at this time.

Youth Congress state secretary PY Shahjahan had lodged a complaint with the Kochi DCP against this. The DCP had forwarded the complaint to Maratha CI. The police registered a case against Jojo after examining the scenes.

The fine is Rs 500. All you have to do is pay this amount at the police station. If not closed directly, the case will be referred to the court.

The Mahila Congress activists had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Jojo George had behaved in an indecent manner. But the police have not yet registered a case in this regard. Police had launched a preliminary investigation against Jojo George.

But police say they have not received any evidence to file a case. Congress activists have lodged a complaint against Jojo alleging violation of the Motor Vehicle Act. Women Congress workers had marched to the Maratha police station to protest against the non-filing of a case against Jojo.

Police have registered a case against eight Congress workers in connection with the crash of Jojo’s vehicle. Seven people, including former Kochi mayor Tony Chammany, have been granted bail in the case. The court had asked for a deposit of Rs 37,500 each. The court also set bail of two persons for Rs 50,000.

The court has not yet granted bail to Joseph, who smashed the glass of Jojo’s vehicle. The court adjourned consideration of Joseph’s bail application to Tuesday.

Attempts to settle the case were later unsuccessful. The Congress alleges that the failure of the compromise was due to the intervention of the CPM leadership.
